Known Bugs
- To remove the master tasks that you don't want follow these steps:
- Go to the Edit Master List screen.
- Open the category filter screen (blue down arrow, top right of screen, or slide it out from the right).
- Click "Clear All or Select All". Important: Do this even if all categories are ticked. This will ensure no categories are being filtered and you can see all the master tasks in the app.
- Close the category filter.
- You will now be able to see the full list of master tasks, and you can delete the ones that you do not need.
Further explanation: The app is not suppose to let you delete categories without first deleting the master tasks.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
- Open the app on your old phone/tablet. Go to the settings screen (main menu, settings).

- Copy this file to your new phone/tablet, and put it into the same folder: /InternalStorage/Android/data/com.woohoosoftware.cleanmyhouse/files/CleanMyHouse/. You may need a pc, or a file explorer app for this step.
- Open the app on your new phone/tablet. Go to the settings screen (main menu, settings)

-
- Go to your phone/tablets settings
- Choose Apps & Notifications (this might have a slightly different name, depends on the manufacturer)
- Choose Clean My House app
- Choose Storage
- Choose Clear Data
- WARNING: this will delete all tasks and task history from the app. It will restore categories and master tasks to the initial ones that come with the app.
-
- The app supports two repeat types: repeat from last completion date and repeat from last scheduled date
- Repeat from last completion date is a rolling schedule where tasks will move based on when they are completed. They are not set to a fixed day of the week. ie. every 2 days.
- Repeat from last scheduled date is a fixed schedule where tasks will stay due on the same day of the week (Saturday), or same date of the month (15th of January).
- If you complete a weekly task due on a Saturday, on a Friday (early), it will still be due on the Saturday and you may want to skip it forward so its due on the following Saturday. Choose Skip Task.
- If you complete the task late on a Sunday, it will be due again the following Saturday, it will not roll forward to a Sunday.
- You can change the default settings at the bottom of the settings screen (main menu, settings).
-
- Click on the blue premium features button and a pop up will open to show you the price (Google's Play Store in-app purchase screen)
- This app is global, so it depends on the country you live in.
- It's a one-off purchase of around $3.49AUD or $2.99USD
-
- Not yet, the intention is to add this feature in a future version. Please note, this will not be a free feature as Google charges for reads/writes and storage, it will have to be an ongoing subscription.
- I do not wish to collect and sell user data to fund this. There really is no such thing a free app.

- The app supports two daily reminder types: Dismiss by button and Dismiss by swipe.
- Go to the settings screen (main menu, settings) to choose the one you would like to use.

- Buy the premium features! There really is no such thing a free app. Free apps with cloud syncing generally collect your data and use/sell it for marketing purposes. {My personal advice when using a free app: question how is this app making its money, what I am agreeing to by using it?). Clean My House does not collect any users data or sell any user data. The app is supported 100% by the ads on the free version and this in-app purchase. So please help to support the app, by buying the premium features, it's around the same price as a cup of coffee...maybe less :)
- Leave a review! This app has proven to be a very useful/necessary daily tool for people with ADHD, PTSD, Depression, focus or overwhelm related issue. To ensure this app gets to as many people as possible that need it, leaving a positive review helps the visibility of the app in the Play Store.
- Recommend the app to your friends and family, especially the messy ones! NB: Apologies the developer is Australian, and has a warped sense of humour.

- Did you know?
- Google takes 30% from all app sales and in-app purchases
- The Australian Government then takes it's cut in taxes
- What is left? A poor overworked developer who spent 4 years working on an app for less than $1.50AUD
-
- No, all app data (tasks/task history/master tasks/categories) is currently only stored on your phone/tablet.
- This will change in the future in order to provide the cloud sync feature. The data will be stored on Google's cloud platform.
-
- Yes, I recommend to download an app called DriveSync. It gives you one folder that you can backup for free
- Point it to the /InternalStorage/Android/data/com.woohoosoftware.cleanmyhouse/files/CleanMyHouse/ folder
- When the automatic backup (premium feature) runs each night, DriveSync will copy the file to your Google Drive storage
-
- First check to see if you have turned notifications off for this app. Go to phone settings, Apps & Notifications, Clean My House, Notifcation, click to turn on.
- Second look for any battery saver type apps on your device, they kill notifications silently.
- In 100% of all cases I have investigated with users it is always a setting or another app causing the issue. I promise you the daily reminder works! Although, it will not remind you on days where you have no tasks due ;)
- My two cents worth: I do think it is bad practice for Google/Android to allows other apps to kill notifications without a clearly visible way to find out which app is causing it. I have received (and also seen on other apps) bad reviews due to this poor practice. I really wish Google would fix it, it's not good for either of us.
